Algunas de las estrellas más grandes de la música se dieron cita en el MGM Grand Garden Arena de Las Vegas el lunes (25 de mayo) en el Día de los Caídos, luciendo sus mejores atuendos en la alfombra roja de los American Music Awards 2026.
Desde grandes iconos hasta las estrellas emergentes del momento, todos deslumbraron a su llegada. Entre ellos se encontraban Paula Abdul, quien lució un escultural vestido blanco que incorporaba una falda de corte sirena con motivos geométricos en tonos plateados y nude; New Kids on the Block, ataviados con trajes de doble botonadura; Ludacris, con un conjunto a juego de cuero color burdeos, camisa blanca y zapatillas a tono; KATSEYE, con looks que realzaban su figura; Tinashe, con un atrevido vestido de encaje blanco, y muchos más.
Al dar comienzo la velada, Taylor Swift encabezaba la lista de nominados con un total de ocho menciones, sumando ya en su haber la histórica cifra de 40 galardones. Pisándole los talones a la superestrella del pop, se situaban Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Dean, sombr y Morgan Wallen con siete nominaciones cada uno. Lady Gaga y Alex Warren ocupaban el tercer puesto, con seis candidaturas cada cual.
La legendaria Queen Latifah regresó para conducir la 52.ª edición de la ceremonia anual. Anteriormente, había copresentado la gala de 1995 junto a Tom Jones y Lorrie Morgan. Entre los artistas que actuaban este año se encontraban BTS, Karol G, Billy Idol (quien también era galardonado con el premio a la trayectoria artística), NKOTB y KATSEYE. Entre las estrellas anunciadas para entregar trofeos estaban la atleta olímpica Alysa Liu, GloRilla, las cantantes de HUNTR/X EJAE y REI AMI, Lisa Rinna, Luda, Abdul y muchos otros.
